University Of Scholars Participate In Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon

The spirit of unity and athleticism vibrated through Dhaka once again this Friday, January 26th, as the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon unfolded. Among the enthusiastic participants was a contingent from the University of Scholars, eager to represent their institution in this prestigious event.

Leading the Scholars' charge was none other than H M Atif Wafik, the Assistant Professor and Head of Brand. Joining him were several dedicated students, all fueled by a shared passion for running and a desire to commemorate the homecoming day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Wafik's presence reflected the University's commitment to promoting both physical well-being and a deep respect for Bangladesh's history. The marathon, held annually since 2021, has become a beacon of national pride, drawing renowned runners from all corners of the globe.

This year's Full Marathon, a grueling 42.195 kilometers, saw international and local athletes battling it out along the picturesque Sheikh Hasina Sarani, starting from the 300 ft Road and weaving towards Kanchan Bridge before doubling back. The sight of diverse participants pushing their limits, united by the spirit of the event, was truly inspiring.
